FROSTY/ MANGO
and friend
AVALANCHE
Warm wishes for a happy holiday season.

Frosty is doing wonderful! He still has quite the personality...makes me laugh all the time.  He keeps Avalanche(12 years) young. He is fun to buy for, he carries his toys all over the house.

Frosty has not changed much at all- a little bigger still a handful! He has quite the personality.

Hey, I am up here.

I am not tired, I do not need a nap like Avalanche.

I can not get any bigger or we both will not fit.

Here I am on top of the world.

I let Avalanche get more sun.

I will play with anything.

Here are some long overdue pictures of Frosty.  I just love my boys.
I am now the proud owner of a digital camera so from here on out it should be easier.
The boys still get along well. Frosty still likes to play and is also a cuddly momma's boy.  His most recent trick is to launch himself from the ground to my shoulder and ride around like a parrot.  It is the funniest thing.
Happy Mother's Day from Frosty.  He turned out so well...you should be proud!

Who needs toys when there is paper?

Snuggling is what I do best.

Aren't I cute?

I am not ready to nap.

Hanging out!

This is like being at the beach.

I like to pose for pictures.

If the duck can do it, so can I!

I am in the kitchen. Where is the food?

Gotta love Christmas!

I would like to introduce, Avalanche on the left.

Avalanche is the lump. He makes a great pillow.

I will share, but it is
"my chair".

I do not care if she only comes home once in awhile, it is
"MY CHAIR"!

Frosty went for his 1st yr. checkup and shots. The vets love him.........he was not good having his nails clipped and when they were done they thought he would run in the carrier but he wanted to cuddle!
His new trick is to jump (from the ground or anywhere else)onto my shoulder and "ride" around with me.  He is such a momma's boy!

New Story and Pictures

Frosty (and his littermates) celebrated their 1st. birthday yesterday!  He is still a sweetheart and seems to have
gotten over his terrible 2's!  He is still as social as ever and anybody that comes over can't get over how friendly he is (and not in an annoying way).
Thanks for helping us find the perfect addition our family this year.  He is such a Charmer.

Mango seems to have settled pretty well into our master bath.  I have a round scratching post that he is enjoying sitting on (I think it gives him an overview of the room!).  He has a hooded cozy cave and I gave him a blanket with a soft stuffed animal.  I also left the carrier in there open with 2 towels in it.  He goes in and out.  He has a couple of balls and some mice.  He was fine until about 3am and he has been crying since.  He would stop when I went in.  I felt bad leaving to go to work.  He doesn't seem to want to eat out of the bowl.  He will eat the food if I take it out of th bowl and put it on the floor.  I think he will be fine.
Avalanche is not acting the way I thought he would.  He is hiding under the couch.  He can be stubborn, I hope he warms up soon!

Mango was much better last night.  He did cry some but not like the night before.  We took turns spending alot of time with him last night when we got home from work.  He is purring and is very affectionate (yeah!).  He also ate pretty well yesterday.  I have taken picutures and will send them when they are developed.  I think tomorrow night we are going to try and "introduce" them in the same area.

I think he is happy here.  We have a large master bath and he is having a ball in there with all his stuff!  When he is tired he either sleeps on a thick flannel sheet I have folded, or on top of  the scratching post.  Last night we gave him the run of the master bedroom and bath.  He was in explorer's heaven!  Paul took him to another bedroom to explore and I took my Avalanche into the master bath and sat with him in there while he sniffed everything.  I think tonight we are going to sit with them in the same room.  It is working well, Mango is eating better and comes to us whenever we go in the room.
Thanks for all your help.  I am so happy!

Just thought I would give you a quick update.  Mango (we may call him Frosty!) has settled in very nicely in his new enviornment.  He and Avalanche (Lanche) are getting along well.  We do not have to keep them apart.  They sniff each other without incident.  When Lanche has had enough he just goes away or gives a hiss.  There has not been any swatting or extreme dominence.  They sit together and we all sleep in the same bed. Mango loves to cuddle and I think within a short while he and Lanche will be cuddled together.
Mango is a very busy kitty!  He plays and plays and plays!  I think Lanche gets tired just watching him.  We have taken the litter box out of the room we had him separated in and he is using the boxes we have had for Lanche (3, one for each cat and an extra).  He doesn't eat as well as I would like and I can't leave his food down because Lanche wants that kitten food and he is on weight control.  Mango isn't starving and he is drinking well.

I wish I had a digital camera.  When I got home last night my Avalanche and Mango were curled up together in a wing chair.  I guess mission accomplished!  He is a real cuddle baby (which is wonderful) and he is eating much better.  The other day he was sleeping in the bathroom sink!  I think he just got tuckered out where he was!  When I went to take a picture he woke up.
I will send pictures as soon as I get them developed.  I am almost done with the roll.  I love him, he plays and plays and comes for a cuddle; and plays and plays.  I bought a new scratching post and tons of differnent types of ball toys the other day at Petco!

I have pictures of Mango/Frosty in the sink, on a scratching post, with Lanche in a chair, with Lanche cleaning him, the 2 of them on the bed, in a fake potted plant, sleeping, playing..............he is adorable.  He still plays, plays, plays.  There are toys ALL over the house.  He sits on my lap every time I sit at the table.  Funny, he doesn't seem to want the food on my plate!  He has claimed a cat bed for himself in one of the bedrooms and I have a picture of him in there. They are starting to actually "play" together and it is not rough.  They chase each other and then reverse!
I am glad to hear that Kiwi is happy also.  I initially felt bad that I had taken Mango away from his "family" but I think he is very happy with us!  He is certainly running the house and Avalanche is letting him.  He spends the night sleeping on my head!

Mango/Frosty had a great Easter.  He entertained the family for hours with his antics.  My little cousin carried him around and played with him all day.  He never tried to get away.  I think he likes all the attention!  He slept well last night and ate like a little piggy this morning!
