LAUREL AND HARDY

Laurel

Hardy

Dear Folks,
Just wanted to give you an update on Laurel and Hardy whom we adopted on May 2, 2006.
Personalities:
If you recall, Hardy was the extrovert and Laurel the introvert.  Boy, has that changed! Hardy is still fairly extroverted, in a low-key sort of way, but Laurel has become Lord of the Jungle! He stalks about as if he is lord of all her surveys. It's hilarious!
He and Hardy still tussle and throw each other around, sit next to each other at window, curl up together, etc.  Our nine-year old female tabby, Chloe, does not want to be part of their rough-housing.  They go after her every once in a while, which we don't appreciate, but we are hopeful that things will improve over time.  In the meantime, we shuffle the cats around to different rooms so that Chloe has molestation-free time and we try to always be around to intervene, if necessary, when she is in the same room as Hardy and/or Laurel.
The biggest surprise for us has been to watch Laurel and our two-year old boxer, Otto, become good buddies.  The two of them have become playmates, chasing each other around, grooming each other, curling up together at times.  It is so cute, we can't stand it!
We have two cat trees in our living room that receive extensive use from Laurel and Hardy.  I've enclosed photos of the cats showing each of them on a different cat tree.  They love to dash up the trees (a great escape from Otto when the chase is on), to sit and look out the window or front door, or to snooze.  Yes, we pamper them shamlessly and they love it.
We're so glad that we took Laurel as well as Hardy.  Things just wouldn't be nearly as fun without the two of them. Hardy to tending to sleep with our twelve-year old daughter, Lina at night.  Laurel usually sleeps in the living room since he becomes too rowdy in the bedrooms at night. But, Hey, he keeps Otto company (Otto sleeps in his crate at night). Chloe sleeps with my husband and me.
Greetings and best wishes to all.
