KRAMER
Latest Update, December, 2005

Remember Kramer, whom I adopted in April of 2004?
He is one happy little guy now, and I'm sending you some photos of him relaxing in his kitty nest next to our wood-burning stove.
Kramer has four siblings--Dorabella and Fiordiligi (Persian twin sisters), Rufus and Roger (tuxedo males).  All of our kitties come from animal shelters.  Kramer gets along with everyone, and although he's still a bit shy, he has developed many endearing habits that make us love him ever more.  He enjoys drinking water from the kitchen faucet and he demands to eat his crunchy food from a plastic bucket where it's stored in our pantry, rather than from the communal bowl.  He "jumps for joy" when he's happy--he literally jumps up in the air, usually when stretching himself alongside a door frame.  He enjoys sleeping, and he plays a bit with Rufus, our kitten, who frequently jumps on top of Kramer and rides him.

Happy holidays to all of you doing good works at the East Greenwich Animal Protection League.  We are grateful that you found Kramer for us.
Sincerely,
Selma

Kramer and Rufus
Kramer is adjusting nicely to his new home.  He has been living upstairs because the house in its entirety is a bit too overwhelming for him at the moment.  So, he has his own boudoir (otherwise known as Mom's study), with bathroom, dining area, and many soft places to sleep.
He watches Mom while she works at her desk, and is allowed to come into the people bedroom whenever he wants.  Today he spent most
of the day relaxing on a blanket storage box underneath the bed. He now weighs about 8 lbsand
spends most of his time in my study, relaxing and thinking.
Kramer is eating well and enjoys lots of rubs and kisses.  He particularly enjoys belly rubs, and generally stretches out to display fluffy belly when the need for another rub strikes.  He is a
total purr machine.
The other cats--Dorabella (Dora), Fiordiligi (Ligi), and Roger--view him with complete indifference.  There have been a few sniffing
sessions that end with the sniffers walking away nonchalantly, as if to say, "So what?  Am I supposed to be impressed?"

We will send photos shortly.  Love and hisses,
Kramer & family
