| Dear EGAPL,
Back on Memorial Day weekend, 2007, I adopted a cat you knew as "Mr. Honey. He was the poor kitty who had suffered a leg injury that healed the wrong way and had to be amputated. When I first brought him home he took to hiding under my chair, but he came out of his shell in the first 48 hours. He was a very clingy kitty who followed me into each room of the house. He also tried to follow me outside when I went to work in the morning. He did this with such persistence that I bought him an ID collar for fear he might escape. After only 3 weeks, wand with the help of a spray water bottle he learned that I was going to come home each night and he did not need to attempt to follow me outside. I was very relieved to see this habit broken. Bailey, as he is now know, has been thriving and is a wonderful friend to have around the house. He is an extremely sweet cat who loved to sit on my lap while I watch television or attempt to work on my computer. Bailey still insists on following me around to every room of the house and sleeps at the foot of my bed each night. He is an amazing friend and is always nice to come home to from a stressful day of work. I have enclosed a photo of him in his favorite chair. You can see his fur has grown back from his surgery very nicely. Keep up the good work. you are changing the lives of animals and their human companions for the better each and every day. Joe |
